BIOGRAPHICAL

[Personality and Traits]

    Altruistic || Diffident || Independent || Ignorant || Private || Pleasant || Reliable || Resourceful

Lucienne, overall is quite the ordinary young girl, staying true to her upbringing as a well mannered and hospitable lady, while also harboring a youthful sense of naivety. Only truly knowing and believing what she’s been taught and understanding and accepting what is familiar. Yet being unused to blunt disrespect or prejudgment, she will become highly defensive and afraid when ill will is emitted her way and has a tendency to walk on eggshells to avoid conflict.

The few times she will stand strong and argue back are when she feels ignored or when her clean environment is threatened; referring to her dislike of ‘filth', in spaces she claims her own (i.e. personal space, work space). In such cases she is known to put on a rather no-nonsense type of attitude and try to deal with said problem swiftly, albeit politely, regardless of potential protest or even who the subject of her irritation is. Lucienne is also adamant about showing and receiving proper respect, as she always refers to people by their rightful titles but never something as intimate as a nickname and expects the same in return. No exceptions.

On a professional level, Lucienne does her best to presents herself with the amiable and graceful essence she believes she should have, often seen with a quirky smile and optimistic can-do attitude that seems to set her apart from the melancholy environment she holes herself into. She has a way of heavily romanticizing events and people, claiming everyone is a hero of their own tale, encouraging them to follow the path that leads them to personal victories.

[Likes]

✔ All Romantic and Classic novella; even if they have a tragic ending, their idealistic endeavors taker her mind off reality

✔ Most forms of classical music; she can't dance, but when she's alone she likes to pretend

✔ Honest individuals; even if it's a bit painful- she'll always respect that

✔ Festivities; a chance to get out into the world! She seizes ever opportunity

[Dislikes]

✖ Filth; Filthy words, habits or literal filth

✖ Alcohol; Fine wines are an exception

✖ Foul language; it's never necessary to be so uncouth- (though perhaps there's some envy- she's too formal to say such herself but would love to be more expressive)

    ✖ Discriminatory behavior

[History]

Lucienne was born a citizen of Song-Lu to a father who worked in the Navy during the more lax part of history, and a mother who often took trips into Koben for undetermined lengths of time under her affiliation with the Wissen fellowship. It was a very elegant upbringing for a child, and quite delightful as she could interact and feel comfortable around different people without conflict. During those times, she lived on the ports with her father, immersed in its culture and exploring the same cordial spirit she inherited from him.

By schooling age things started to change as education entered the picture, and the strain of her mother's inconsistent presence became more prominent. It was decided that the family would move to Koben for Lucienne’s opportunity to attend the educational systems and to rekindle her maternal bond. Soon enough the girl was amongst the flow of city life. She worked hard and was progressive student, focusing mostly on her roots with magic, although by her early teens it became evident that she was not a natural which discouraged her.

Despite remaining relatively separate from her dark elvish roots, it was clear Lucienne was inferior to them as her ability to understand and incorporate magic into her everyday life was significantly lower than that of her cousins, which lead her to resign from working to become a mage and ultimately- drop out of school. Although her parents were supportive people, they agreed that if she wasn’t going to take the chosen educational path, then she’d have to make up her own way of living life.

Lucienne had already decided she wanted to be something large enough to leave a legacy of her own, but was at a loss at how to pursue such an idea. For awhile, she put her ideals to rest, hopscotching through jobs to at least make a living for herself, all of which circled around healing- a talent she could never abandon. Over time she’d become the type of person who kept herself on a tight and busy schedule, as too much time on her hands lead her to analyse and detest her personal imperfections.

By seventeen she had grown weary of her own indecisiveness and decided to really settle down to find a permanent job. Lucienne took on an apprenticeship at the countries rehabilitation center, under a doctor that was sanctimonious about his views on healers, and showed her countless times that magic was only one aspect of the ways of healing. In awe of the general concept, Lucienne has been working hard under his wing as a nurse in training, and though the process to becoming a nurse is slow, it is steady and realistic enough for her to want to reach for it.

Recently; The war has shifted both her family and professional dynamics, with her parents both working and co-operating in it to the best of their abilities, Lucienne and her superior can slowly feel the strain of it all even at the center. The amount of invalides has steadily grown with recent battles yet the budget to maintain the place has decreased noticeably, as well as the staff, most chose to serve within the military when called upon. Lucienne has found it easier to relocate herself within the center in a small room where she has an easier commute to handle her growing responsibilities.

[Relationship]

Family

Lucienne was born into a mystic clan of dark elves who have long since migrated out of Relan territory but still hold their attributes close to them. The elders are still very much alive and don’t take too kindly to the acceptance for interbreeding in comparison to the more recent generations, thus they keep a steady distance from them and are sure to cut off financial support and inheritance.
The only true relationship she holds with them is through her grandfather, who was the first to steer the family into such a path having 3 pureblood children and a single half-blood. He mostly pities them for their short life span and walks on thin ice himself, as his own father is still very much alive and judging from a distance.
They're predominantly located in Iadlain where the magic is still strong, and few go out to become educators of sorts.

The Rakbanchongs are Luciennes paternal family. Both grandparents have been deceased since she was little with no uncles aunts nor cousins, there's no involvement with their roots. Though her father still uses the name himself, he completely relinquished Luciennes rights to his last name in favor of his wifes.

Additional

  • Song-Lu Zodiac: Day 12, Month of the horse, Year of the Incandescent Gold Salmon

    • True animal: Raven

    • Lucienne often doesn’t talk or celebrate her birthday, as it is on Spectre Day (Ghost day) and is known to have a slightly suspicious birthdate that raises many eyebrows

  • Religion: Praises every god for all their qualities but of course, has a natural affinity for Atros and his attributes

  • Language: Raised to learn Songhua, Common and Iadlic Canan but the latter was never truly enforced, thus with age she’s slowly begun to lose it.

    • Typically considered illiterate in Songhua and Canan though- but her common is pretty good.

  • Alignment: Neutral Good

  • Temperament: Phlegmatic

  • Hearing in her left ear is less than 20% full function - Stemming from a celebratory incident where confetti got into her ear and eventually caused serious, continuous infection.

    • Though not well advertised it's easy to catch on to by the way she leans in with her right ear or asks for repetition.

  • Whenever she has free-time, she really loves attending the plays Koben offers every now and again

  • Has a strange nose scrunching/wiggling tick that attributes to the nickname 'Rabbit'- along with her thumping foot and tendency to skip when happy.
  • Her hair is 100% Artificial, although she's a natural noirette, she's donned a close-shaved hair style ever since she was little.
